The Finance Committee assists the Board by providing oversight of SRA financial affairs in the areas of operational management and performance, annual budget development, financial planning, and the external audit process.
The Finance Committee Charter outlines the purpose and mission of the Committee, establishes responsibilities and deliverables, and discusses membership and process.
The Finance Committee typically meets monthly and sometimes more frequently. Meeting notices are announced in advance on the SRA website and community members are welcome to attend the meetings. Written Minutes of these meetings are published and posted on the website.
Chaired by the SRA Board Treasurer, the Finance Committee has an important role in the annual budgeting process. View information on the budgeting process as well as the current year budgets.
Financial reports are prepared by the General Manager each month for Board review. The Finance Committee reviews these reports before they are distributed to the Board.
Audited Financial Statements
Year-end financial statements are audited by an outside firm and a report is reviewed with the Board and shared with the community at the Annual General Meeting.
The Finance Committee has established a number of Policies to guide accounting and cash management activities at SRA.
